FA+P Attorney Nathan Moberley recently secured a dismissal based on the doctrine of sovereign immunity in the Dickenson County Circuit Court.  Plaintiff filed a Complaint against the Breaks Interstate Park Commission seeking damages for injuries sustained at a water park operated by the Commission.   In response to the Complaint,  Nathan filed a Plea in Bar asserting that the doctrine of sovereign immunity applied and that the matter should be dismissed.  The Court found that the doctrine did apply to the facts of the case and dismissed the action.

Nathan’s areas of practice include appellate work, auto and premises liability, coverage analysis, and medical malpractice.  Prior to joining FA+P, he clerked for Justice McCullough on the Supreme Court of Virginia.
