Macel H. Janoschka, a principal with the Roanoke law firm of Frith Anderson + Peake has been selected as the 2017 Young Lawyer of the Year by the Roanoke Bar Association. This award recognizes a current member of the Roanoke Bar Association that is an “outstanding young lawyer who has demonstrated dedicated service to our community and the profession.”

Macel was recognized for both her legal work and her community involvement within the Roanoke Valley. She focuses her practice on civil litigation, particularly in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice, premises liability, automobile liability and workers’ compensation. She has served on the boards of numerous non-profits in the Roanoke Valley, and is a Past President of the Junior League of Roanoke Valley. She has been active with both the local bar through the Roanoke Bar Association and with the Virginia State Bar where she previously served on the Virginia State Bar’s Young Lawyers’ Conference Board of Governors.
