FA+P is delighted to announce that Network Administrator, David Sink, has been named one of Virginia Lawyer Weekly’s 2019 Unsung Legal Heroes. This award recognizes “the people who get it done, who keep the lawyers on track, who go above and beyond, usually behind the scenes. These awards are reserved for the state’s most talented and dedicated legal support professionals.”
David joined the FA+P team in 2006 as the firm’s Network Administrator. As managing partner, Phil Anderson, noted in his nomination letter, “it is hard to imagine where we would be without his dedicated service. He has willingly and eagerly navigated the firm through the many changes and challenges that technology and the need for cybersecurity has rapidly thrust upon us. He takes ownership of projects, managing software, hardware and networking for the firm and is constantly staying abreast of changes headed our way. His concern about the security of the firm’s and our clients’ information is personal to him and he continues to make sure that we operate in the most productive, cost effective and secure manner possible. What sets David apart in the IT arena, however, is his intellectual curiosity and willingness to use his talents to help us be the best advocates we can be for our clients. David is not a lawyer, but he takes the time to learn what technologies can help us in our practice. It is this appreciation and understanding of what we do and what we need as lawyers that make him so effective. His willingness to both learn what can help us and teach us what he has learned, really sets him apart.”
